Amy Atkeson is a physician and the director of the Cardiopulmonary Sleep & Ventilatory Disorders Center and the Adult Pulmonary Function Laboratory at Columbia University, where she also directs a course on pulmonary physiology/pathophysiology for medical students. She is an active collaborator in research at the intersection of sleep disordered breathing and cardiovascular and interstitial lung disease and holds BS and MD degrees from Yale University. She serves on the boards of The Community Fund of Bronxville and the Yale Alumni Fund. Amy and her family visited Mainsprings in August 2017, where they made friendships that her son Timothy renewed during his return to campus with the Bronxville school the following summer. She is thrilled to help support Mainsprings’ mission to fight poverty and provide a safe haven for girls.
